Country Marketing Manager

BlackBerry is a worldwide leader in smartphone technologies. BlackBerry is both involved in the software and mobile device management area as well as manufacturing of devices. My role as CMM is to align the marketing activities with the sales and marketing objectives over multiple domains (B2C & B2B) and partners (carriers, retailers, customers, etc.). This implies working closely together with all stakeholders within (centralized marketing departments, local sales team, centralized sell in team, PR team, etc.) and outside the organization (carrier partner purchase and marketing teams, distributors, retailers, marketing agencies, etc.). In order to grow the BlackBerry business in Belgium and to have more competitive offers for the end consumer, I launched new tariffs with multiple carriers. I also implemented successful sales promotions in the telecom retail market and set up a B2B trade up program with the aim to accelerate the BlackBerry OS 7 penetration.

I was responsible for the following vendor lines: Creative Labs, Microsoft Xbox and Telenet (IdTV) and the consumer electronics products of Philips, Sony, Samsung, LG Electronics and Linksys KISS.
